Day 1: Discovering Hakone
Start your adventure by taking the Romancecar train from Shinjuku to Hakone Yumoto. This scenic ride gives you beautiful views of Tokyo and Kanagawa. Upon arrival, use your Hakone Freepass to explore the area. First, take the Hakone Tozan Train to Miyanoshita. Walk around this charming area, filled with classic hotels, shops, and cafes. Then, hop back on the train to Gora. From there, take a scenic cable car to Koen-Shimo Station. Visit the Hakone Museum or stroll around Gora-Koen Park. Next, take a bus to Hakone Shrine.
